About Shamal

With 15+ years in research management, including leading KAUST’s autonomous systems fleet, Haitham brings critical expertise to guide Shamal’s vision. He is also co-founder of Saudi Arabia’s first nonprofit for autonomous systems, leads national drone standards with SASO, and contributes to the World Economic Forum’s C4IR initiative.

Craig brings over a decade of global drone industry experience in remote sensing and ISR. Since 2018, he has supported Saudi Vision 2030 through government consulting and his role as Technology Manager at NEOM. At Shamal, he leads operations to keep the company at the forefront of geospatial and unmanned technologies locally and globally.

Jameer Mahamed brings over a decade of experience in business development, client and account management, and bid management across the Geospatial and IT sectors. With a strong track record spanning Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and international markets, he has led strategic growth initiatives, forged long-term client partnerships, and driven successful pre- and post-sales engagements. At Shamal Technologies, Jameer plays a key role in shaping business strategy, expanding market presence, and delivering innovative, value-driven solutions aligned with client and organizational objectives.

Eyad is a PMP-certified Project Manager at Shamal Technologies, working across both Operations and Project Management functions. He is graduated from Faculty of Engineering at King Abdulaziz University, specializing in Mechanical Engineering (Production). Holds total 10+ years of professional experience, including over 8 years dedicated to project management. He is recognized for his strategic mindset, strong attention to detail, and consistent high performance. Skilled in coordinating internal teams and external partners and clients to ensure smooth project execution, and he effectively leads cross-functional teams to deliver results aligned with Shamal’s operational and project objectives.

Ahmed Hadeel is a Geomatics Engineer and UAV specialist, graduated from King Abdulaziz University. He began his career in 2018 as a geomatics engineer and drone pilot, gaining hands-on experience in both field operations and office-based data processing. In 2024, he was promoted to Geomatics Department Manager. Ahmed has strong expertise in photogrammetry, LiDAR, drone operations, and UAV data processing, delivering accurate and reliable geospatial solutions.

Nawaf, Shamal’s first direct employee, reflects the company’s growth and now serves as Operations Manager. He brings strong experience in drone operations, team leadership, and stakeholder coordination, overseeing daily operations, flight and maintenance schedules, regulatory compliance, and quality control.

Khalid, an Industrial and Systems Engineer with a Mathematics minor from the University of Rhode Island, brings FMCG supply chain experience to Shamal. As Senior Project Management Specialist, he applies strong analytical skills to optimize projects and serves as the key link between field operations, clients, and global technology partners.

Layan, a Jeddah University graduate, is Shamal’s Senior Accountant with experience in financial reporting, audits, and budget management. She ensures compliance with financial regulations and supports strategic decision-making through accurate financial analysis.
